Who We Are
Founded in 2022 but tracing its roots to 1983, Top Notch Civil offers a complete range of civil infrastructure services and land development throughout Queensland and New South Wales. Top Notch Civil is an organisation built on a foundation of hard work and dedication, drawing these values from its leadership team.
Top Notch Civil is led by Meghan Bunt, who has over ten years background in a Large Civil Company, Ian Blackman, who has nearly 50 years of Civil under his belt from small jobs right up to mining works, and Tim Whittle, who has 40 years in Logistics and civil construction.
Top Notch Civil brings this expertise to every job we undertake and this has led to us being known as experts in the civil contracting industry with an extensive portfolio of civil engineering projects in the region, including many significant infrastructure projects.

The Top Notch Civil Guarantee
Top Notch Civil has an extensive network of Suppliers through whom we access most of our machinery.
While we own and maintain a small fleet of equipment, we have carefully nurtured strong relationships with our Suppliers and with good planning are able to secure any machinery we need for our clients. We have several of our own Operators who have been trained and certified by qualified trainers to drive and operate our plant, and that of our Suppliers.

At Top Notch Civil we believe all injuries are preventable, so we are absolutely committed to safety and a zero harm policy. Top Notch Civil foster a safety conscious culture through a dedicated management system that embraces opportunities to improve our performance and exceed best practice.
Our commitment to Health and Safety is implemented through all levels within our company, Top Notch Civil develops and tailors specific plans to ensure that not only legislative requirements are met, but those of the individual client and contract.
This ensures a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements and enables our commitment to be achieved.
Our safety performance is then monitored by all levels of management in conjunction with Safety Officers and Safety Representatives. At Top Notch Civil we train and assess our operators in all aspects of our work activities. Safety is the major driver of this training as we believe well trained personnel minimise health and safety risks and increase productivity.

Top Notch Civil defines and implements measures for environmental protection appropriate to each specific project and set of business activities. We actively foster the education and training of employees to facilitate continued awareness and knowledge of environmental issues.
Our environmental initiatives include:
- Minimising waste and pollution and taking steps to conserve resources through recycling;
- Monitoring and evaluation of the environmental performance of our sub-contractors and suppliers;
- Providing appropriate training to those responsible for
implementing environmental control measures; - Involving and consulting with employees, government authorities, regulatory bodies and customs to identify improved environmental management and waste disposal solutions;
- Investigating any incidents or misuse and/or inappropriate disposal of waste;
- Specific action plans during all phases of work, including earthworks, concrete works, storage of chemicals/fuels and oils, disposal of site materials and transportation.

Led by Meghan Bunt, Top Notch Civil undertakes projects utilising our long-term, straight-shooting, and experienced workforce with our diverse fleet of plant and equipment. This enables us to deploy resources effectively whilst retaining flexibility to meet the fluctuating requirements for planned and unplanned works. All Top Notch Civil projects are undertaken and completed at Level 1 Supervision when specified.
